What happened to the Tollycraft?

After listing our 1960 Tollycraft Sportabout on a couple of classified ads we received a few low ball offers.  In the end we decided to donate the boat to a local charity auction.  We were sad to see it go.

I'll try to get the details on where it eventually ended up.  Hopefully it's with a family that enjoys cruising around on some local lake.

I'd like to see if I can expand this site with a bit more info on the wooden boat community, and the current state of Tollycraft made boats.

Tollycraft Sportabout Interior Pictures

Note: The steering wheel is not an original Tollycraft part. We are planning to replace it soon.

Here are some pictures of the interior - don't forget you can see a larger version by clicking on the picture!

A few words about Tollycraft History

Tollycraft boats were made in Washington state. Tollycraft is primarily known for their yachts however from 1950's to the mid 1960's they made smaller boats such as the sportabout and the runabout.

You can read lots more about these boats and their maker at the Tollycraft Club Website.

You can also see pictures of the Tollycraft Sportabout - the 1960 which you see in our pictures - and the other years of the Sportabout as well at Tolly Classified.
